365 Days of the Unoriginal, Day 11: In Which You Cannot See Me Make the John Mayer Face

Ok, just to be up front about this: I think John Mayer is a massive douchebag of nuclear douchebag proportions. He annoys me.

He annoys me a lot.

He is, however, an interesting douchebag, and he occasionally comes up with some nifty music. This doesn’t mean all is forgiven — it just means that he is King Douche of the Mighty Kingdom of Summer’s Eve and Environs, and also musical.

So I got the chance to sing one of his songs — “Gravity” — with Jimmy Davis and Friends, and I liked it. I really liked it.

I…feel a little dirty now, actually.

About L. M. Bernhardt

For a good long while (15 years or so), I taught philosophy at a little private university in northwest IA, and occasionally branched out into playing music, dabbling in photography, experimenting with food, and writing nonsense on my blog. The philosophy teaching part ended in 2017 (program elimination via prioritization), but never fear! I've just finished my MLIS at San Jose State University, and I'm currently on the market looking for new adventures in either philosophy or LIS. For now, I labor at a fairly interesting administrative job in order to support my dogs in the lavish manner to which they've become accustomed.
