Dramatis Canidae

And now, for those of you who want to put a face to the antics, I present to you the canine cast of Conversations With Small Dogs:

Eddie, the veteran of our cast, is a senior Jack Russell Terror…erm…Terrier. He is the Lord High Mayor of Toytown, which he claims is a life appointment and not an elected position. His motto: Furtum cibum a incautos. He has been told that he is cute by total strangers who shout at him from cars. He believes that they are correct.

Henry is a young adult Rat Terrier whose natural drives to play and to prey are often at war with his acquired anxieties. He caught a bird yesterday on his morning walk, and plans to do so again, just as soon as the traffic stops being so horribly noisy and the grass stops whispering at him.

The youngest member of our cast, Buddy is a Decker Terrier (probably) and an adolescent menace to all chewable objects (definitely). It is his considered opinion that bouncing is the way to go most of the time. He sleeps occasionally.

About L. M. Bernhardt

For a good long while (15 years or so), I taught philosophy at a little private university in northwest IA, and occasionally branched out into playing music, dabbling in photography, experimenting with food, and writing nonsense on my blog. The philosophy teaching part ended in 2017 (program elimination via prioritization), but never fear! I've just finished my MLIS at San Jose State University, and I'm currently on the market looking for new adventures in either philosophy or LIS. For now, I labor at a fairly interesting administrative job in order to support my dogs in the lavish manner to which they've become accustomed.
